We work together with a number of other organisations and businesses, which we’d like to acknowledge here.
Help Refugees – https://helprefugees.org/ – “Help Refugees have fed the hungry and housed the homeless, and there are people living now thanks to them who would otherwise be dead.” We’re proud to wear their Choose Love T-shirts.
Refugee Community Kitchen – http://www.refugeecommunitykitchen.com/ – Refugee Community Kitchen serves hot, nourishing meals to displaced people in the UK & abroad. When we volunteer in Calais, this is where we often head.
Brighton & Hove Sanctuary on Sea – https://brighton-and-hove.cityofsanctuary.org/ – Life is often desperately hard for asylum seekers and refugees living in exile in the UK. Lots of organisations and individuals in Brighton & Hove are working to support those who come to our city for their safety. The Brighton & Hove City of Sanctuary movement brings them together and provides a simple platform so that others can join in.
Shabitat – https://magpie.coop/shabitat – Magpie Recycling Co-Operative’s warehouse in Brighton. They often put aside items for us to take to Northern France.
Preloved of Brighton – https://www.prelovedofbrighton.com/ – a Brighton boutique which sells second-hand designer clothes and accessories – They have donated many unsold items, which we can sell to raise money for Calais Action.
The Mighty Seed – http://themightyseed.co.uk/ – a wonderful cafe and social enterprise run by friends of Calais Action Brighton – They have allowed us to use their premises as a meeting/event venue and provide delicious food for some of our events.
Brighton Dome – https://brightondome.org/ who kindly gave us the venue for our auction and sale, and organised the signing of T-shirts with every celebrity who appeared at the Dome.
